About B.C. Discoveries Theater Arts Company

B.C. Discoveries Dance & Theater Arts Company (BCDTA) is a high energy, performance based program where students receive high quality instruction as well as performance opportunities.  Whether an individual wishes to sing, dance or act, BCDTA Co. has it all.  BCDTA is a unique program where students, parents and faculty are like family.  Student-performers choose from a variety of art disciplines  (see below) and aspire to their individual goals.  Ultimately a diverse group of talent levels (beginning-advanced) join together to perform on stage, as one company.  Audience members marvel how BCDTA manages to produce quality productions with a limited rehearsal schedule.  Student-performers attend their weekly 1 hour rehearsal class(es) as well as the pre-announced 4-5 mandatory weekend rehearsals.  (click "dates to remember" for weekend rehearsal schedule)

 The Musical Theater Program

Musical Theater (MT) is a high energy performance based class in which any individual (K-12) can enroll.  MT students learn choreography to be performed in the upcoming production.  The style of dance being taught in MT is typically that of Jazz:   Classic jazz, Broadway Jazz, Lyrical,  Modern Jazz  & Hip Hop.  The specific style ranges from class to class and show to show.  Weekly MT classes act as mini 1 hour weekly rehearsal classes with new choreography being taught.  (weekly attendance is important!)  Since all MT students participate in the production, they are required to attend the 4-5 mandatory weekend rehearsals leading up to the performance)   (BCDTA offers 8 levels of MT).
